What we've done

Gidon Bing Ceramics Made in New Zealand.

Gidon Bing designs and makes ceramics from a boatshed atelier and basement studios in New Zealand — tableware, vases and lighting that are sold and collected worldwide.

The project

What it does.

01

Quiet by design

Soft photography and generous space let the forms and glazes speak.

02

Working process

A page on how the pieces are made, which matters to people buying handmade.

03

Use & care

Practical care notes answer the questions buyers ask before spending on ceramics.

E-commerce

How it sells.

Built on Shopify for a catalogue where most pieces come in several glazes.

More on our e-commerce work
  • Glazes as options. French Green, Satin White, Satin Blue, Bone Crackle and more are chosen on the product, not spread across duplicate listings.
  • Four ranges. Kitchen, Living, Limited Edition and Lighting keep a growing range easy to browse.
  • Priced at a glance. Prices and price ranges sit on the collection pages, so the range can be browsed by budget before opening a piece.
Responsive

On every screen.

Laid out for each screen rather than squeezed onto it: the same site on a tablet and a phone, with the navigation, type and images reworked for the space.
